ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
Last updated · May 2026
May Kogel is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continuously improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards to all parts of maykogel.com.
STANDARDS WE FOLLOW
This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more usable for everyone. We also follow the requirements of Israeli Standard 5568 (based on WCAG 2.0 Level AA) and the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments), 5773-2013.
ACCESSIBILITY FEATURES
The site includes the following adjustments out of the box:
- Accessibility toolbar. A floating button at the bottom-left of every page opens a panel where you can increase text size (A / A+ / A++), enable a higher-contrast mode, force underlines on all links, and pause animations.
- Skip-to-content link. The first focusable element on every page lets keyboard users jump past the navigation directly to the main content.
- Keyboard navigation. All interactive elements - links, buttons, form controls, the mobile menu - are reachable and operable from the keyboard. A visible pink focus ring indicates the currently focused element.
- Reduced-motion support. If your operating system has “reduce motion” enabled, animations and auto-scroll are minimised automatically. The toolbar offers an in-site override too.
- Semantic landmarks. Pages use proper HTML landmarks (
<main>,<nav>,<footer>) so assistive technologies can navigate them efficiently. - Image alternatives. Decorative imagery is hidden from screen readers; meaningful imagery includes descriptive alt text.
KNOWN LIMITATIONS
Despite our efforts to make all content accessible, some parts of the site may not yet meet every Level AA criterion:
- Some auto-playing background videos may not have synchronised captions. The videos are muted, ambient, and contain no spoken dialogue or essential information.
- Some third-party links (Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp) lead to platforms whose accessibility is outside our control.
We are actively working to address these limitations.
ASSESSMENT & ENFORCEMENT
This statement is based on internal review against WCAG 2.1 Level AA, supplemented by testing in major assistive technologies (NVDA, VoiceOver) and across desktop, tablet, and mobile viewports. The site is reviewed at least once per year, after major content changes, and whenever an accessibility issue is reported.

If you encounter an accessibility barrier, have a suggestion, or need information in an alternative format, please get in touch through our contact form. We aim to respond within 14 business days. Where relevant, we will offer the requested information in an accessible format or work with you to find an acceptable alternative.
